The presence of old truck tyres and recycled lamps of bygone days remind us of pre-Indepence era. The walls are adorned with colorful paintings representing a busy highway. Says Mr. Joy Singhi, Managing Director of the Restaurant, “It all started with an urge to create something innovative for the food-lovers of Kolkata that would offer them the ambience of a roadside Dhaba. The restaurant has been named to attract the fun freaks of the city.”

Some of the delicious surprises that are popular with the food-lovers include Paneer Lababdar, Paneer Tawe Ka, Reshmi Kabab and Murgh Makhani while sweet preparations like Gulab Jamuns and piping hot Jalebis form a veritable treat for the palate. For a cool swing on a hot summer afternoon, one can sip the lip smacking Masala Chaas. Averts Mr. Singhi, “ Specially trained chefs are brought from North. The food served here is within the affordable limit of the visitors that mostly comprise a wide range of happy-go-lucky cosmopolitan populace of the city.

Recently we have also added a Chinese Restaurant in the premises having authentic Chinese cuisine having tastes of all what we Indians wants.

To maintain stringent quality control, the freshest ingredients are bought everyday. The special masalas are prepared from scratch daily so that no food will be carried over the next day. That’s what makes ‘Mirchi’- as the restaurant is fondly called – as such an incredible place. The menu will be constantly updated and food festivals will become a main attraction at Mirch Masala.
